2050 will be the 100th anniversary of President Truman's decision to get to work on the H Bomb, as if "Little Boy" wasn't enough. The Japanese at the bottom left of my design means "Super Bomb" which was an American nick name for this new improved Hydrogen Bomb. There has also been a great deal of controversy over Iran's suspected development of Nuclear weapons and the government's dictatorial methods. In ancient Persia there was a prominent peaceful religion called Zoroastrianism and its motto was Good Thoughts Good Words Good Deeds, which appears in Farsi at the top of the design.

Lee Baker’s work is the result of his Iranian background and his fascination with Japanese art with its ability to simultaneously influence and absorb western culture. Japan’s art history represents a global creative, technological and spiritual cross-fertilization and in a culture where conflicting ideals are the norm, art seems to blend seamlessly with everyday life. From Utamaro Hiroshige and Jakuchu, with their influence on C19th European artists, Art Nouveau, Manga, Persian miniature painting, Japanese film, Textile Design, Graffiti, British Engraving and Pop Art all find their way into his work, as well as influences from modern Artists such as Takashi Murakami and Yamaguchi Akira, who create a new world, while subtly reflecting on the past.
